Important Details & Information
Driving Directions: These are the easiest ways to get to Turkey Creek, contrary to what your GPS may say. To avoid problems on your trip, please follow our directions, unlike some unfortunate folks before you. (See separate page for full directions.)
Reservation & Cancellation Policy: From Memorial Day to Labor Day reservations are to be for 7 nights, from Saturday to Saturday. Less than 7-night stays may be reserved if space allows and must be within the Saturday-to-Saturday time frame. Casitas and motel rooms may be reserved for a minimum of 2 nights during the summer, they are not available during the off-season. Should the unit you prefer not be open the dates you prefer, please try to have alternate dates/units in mind. Once you have reserved, we allow 10 days for your deposit to arrive if sent by mail. You can also pay with a debit or credit card when you make your reservation. Deposit amounts are equal to 2 night’s stay. If your deposit doesn’t arrive within the 10 days, and you have not made other arrangements, your reservation will be cancelled to make the unit available to others. If you must cancel, please do so at least 60 days in advance. All refunds are subject to a 15% rebooking fee and no refund of deposit will be made if the cancellation is within 60 days of the reserved dates unless the entire cancellation is rebooked.
Payment: We accept cash, personal checks, credit, and debit cards for your final bill. Deposits can be made over the phone at the time of reservation if you’re using a debit or credit card. They can also be made by personal check, bank check or money order by mail.
Check-in/Check-out: Check-in time is 3:00pm. Check-out is 11:00am. We adhere to these times to make certain units are ready for check-in. If you arrive early, you may ask if your unit is ready, but be prepared to wait in case it isn’t. Always check-in at the office before going to your unit as it may not be ready even if it is after 3:00pm as cleaning/repairs sometimes take more time than expected. Need a late check-out? You must make these arrangements before check-out for us to allow the additional time.
Long-term stays: We do have requests for 2 weeks and longer. These requests will be considered on an individual basis with rates figured as follows: the first 2 weeks are at the usual rate for the time of year, the next 2 weeks will be at 60% of the usual rate. Stays of longer than 1 month will be considered based on availability, time of year, etc. All extras such as boats, trail rides, etc., will remain at their regular rate.
Outside Guests: Do you have family or friends staying elsewhere who would like to join you here for the day? If so, for $15/day per person, they can be registered as your guests for the day and thus may use the pools, dock area, etc., however they cannot do trail rides or rent boats.
Pets & ATV’s: We accept well-behaved pets. Standard pet protocol applies: Your pets must be leashed any time they leave your cabin; you must pick up after them, no matter where they “go”; they are not allowed in the office or rec rooms, pools/pool decks or barn area. Daily pet fee is $15 per pet. ATV’s (side-by-sides, UTV’s, golf carts) are accepted but must be used only on roadways.
Indoor Pool & Hot Tub: Opens mid to late April and closes mid to late October. Weather/repairs determines exact dates.
Outdoor Pool & Kiddie Pool: Open by Memorial Day, closes after Labor Day. Weather/repairs determines exact dates.
Horses/Trail Rides: Rides begin in April, weather permitting, and end November 1st. Rides are for TCR guests only ages 8 and up. Free pony rides are available any time we have trail rides. These are only for guests under age 8. We do not accept outside horses due to insurance restrictions.
Free Stuff: There’s a lot! Dock space, lake maps, pony rides, daily towel exchange, rec rooms, Wi-Fi, paddleboats, canoes, kayaks, life vests, plus children under age four are free in all accommodations.
2023 Accommodation Rates & Information
All cabins & casitas come equipped with full-size appliances (range, fridge, coffee maker, toaster, microwave), cooking & serving utensils, tableware, soaps, linens (except beach towels), flat screen TV, etc. Motel units have a snack fridge and coffee maker plus access to a picnic table and charcoal grill. Cabins have screened porches with chairs &/or rockers, plus a charcoal grill and picnic table in the yard. Standardcabins have window or wall A/C and heat, 1 full bath and a futon as one of the sleeping areas. There are standard cabins that sleep 4, 6, 8 or 10 people. Deluxecabins have central A/C and heat, 2-3 full baths and do not have sleeper sofas/futons. There are deluxe cabins that sleep 4, 6, 8 or 10 people. Casitasare one large, open room with a full kitchen, living/dining area, 2 queen beds and full bath. They sleep 4 people. Motel rooms are one large room and have a snack-size fridge, coffee maker, dinette, easy chairs, 2 queen beds and full bath. They sleep 4 people and adjoin 6-person standard cabins.
